01 Aug Lady Gaga World Tour
Wrigley Field is synonymous with Chicago across the country, and as home to the newest World Series Champions (Go Cubs!) is highly sought after for events- including concerts. In 2017 Wrigley is hosting more concerts than ever, and on August 25, 2017, Lady Gaga will be the first woman to headline the stadium. The Joanne World Tour kicks off today, August 1st, and will host dates in Canada and the West coast of the United States before traveling to the historic ballpark.
Lady Gaga is a Billboard Magazine Artist of the Year, and her many accolades include three Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, a Golden Globe, and thirteen MTV Video Awards. She also holds several Guinness World Records, and was the first artist to receive the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame Contemporary Icon Award.
On August 25th at 7 pm, Gaga, a well-known LGBT activist, will perform hits from her album Joanne, which is the star’s fifth studio album. This album features the softer side of the singer, and is known for its “stripped down” soft rock and dance pop styles. Tickets for the concert at Wrigley Field went on sale on February 13th, 2017 and quickly sold out. If you are still looking for accommodations for this highly anticipated show, the Willows Hotel is one of the closest hotels to the stadium, and still has rooms available for a limited time.
