Chicago’s Independence Day Food and Drink Specials

If you’re going to celebrate Independence Day in Chicago, you’ve got to have plenty of local food and drinks, right? And luckily, you won’t have to spend a fortune on great eats during the holiday. Whether you’re looking for dinner, drinks or a little bit of both, there won’t be a shortage of Fourth of July deals- we promise. Check out some of these must-try fourth specials below!

Chicago Eats

What could possibly make a Chicago hot dog or slice of pizza better? A special Fourth of July discount! Plenty of local Chicago joints are ready to celebrate the fourth with discounts and special offerings. A corner tavern called Lotties annually features great deals in July, including discounted Chicago hot dogs and $4 Fireball. Belly Up Smokehouse & Saloon serves up classic BBQ and usually hosts a special Fourth of July picnic. At the picnic you’ll find an extra tasty menu featuring candied bacon and “windy city sliders.” If you’re visiting the weekend after the fourth, head to Commonwealth Tavern for their brunch, which includes a build-your-own bloody mary and mimosa bar. Or visit the sports bar Flagship for their bottomless weekend brunch.

Chicago Drinks

Traveling can get expensive real fast if you’re buying drinks- especially around the holidays. Drink smart and look for deals like these ones. Clark Street Dog is a hot dog joint that serves cheap beer and summer cocktails on the fourth. And Chicago’s ENO Wine Room is known for its festive Red, White and Bleu wine and cheese flight. The flight features signature red & white wine pours, along with an array of bleu cheeses. This winery also has patio seating facing Navy Pier’s firework shows.
