With this year’s theme of “Flowertales: The Story Grows On” there’s sure to be some exquisite exhibits! So, let’s dig into the details.
Chicago Flower and Garden Show
Bring out your green thumb at the annual Chicago Flower & Garden Show. From Mar 20 – 24, Navy Pier will be transformed into an indoor garden exhibit for this year’s theme “Flowertales: The Story Grows On”. This event is perfect for families, especially with the JULIE Kids Activity Garden. Here young ones can cultivate a love for gardening and the outdoors. There will be a total of 19 different gardens set up around the show that will display a variety of greenery and flowers. And be sure to listen in on one of the insightful seminars scheduled to learn more about gardening. Tickets for this event are $20 for adults and $5 for kids (4-12) and can be purchased online here.
You Said 19 Gardens?
Yep! And they each have their own design. They will be announcing the descriptions of the gardens soon. Last year’s show displayed garden exhibits like Wonderland, Enchanted Forest and Garden Trilogy. This show grows more and more each year – literally. In addition to the exhibits, there are also three additional interactive gardens. Their How-To Garden (Garden A) is a great way to really dig into gardening through seminars and hands-on experiences. Beginners and pros can both learn some new tips and tricks from the industry’s best professionals. Garden 2 will host the Kids Activity Garden complete with interactive activities like a Petting Zoo, Bug and Worms Area and a “Do You Know What’s Below” by Nicor Gas. Garden C is Garden Gourmet, where viewers can watch talented chefs cook live with their favorite garden items.
